Georgia:Â The Georgian Minister of Culture and Sports, Thea Tsulukiani, hosted Levan Saginashvili at the Ministry and congratulated him on winning the prestigious arm wrestling tournament, East vs. West super heavyweight category.
Levan Saginashvili is a Georgian professional arm-wrestler who holds the World’s number 1 ranking on the Right Hand.Â
He has won the World Armwrestling Championship seven times, the European Armwrestling Championship six times, the Vendetta Top 8 four times, and the East vs. West Super Heavyweight Championship seven times.
Saginashvili is widely regarded as the most muscular arm wrestler in history.
During the meeting, the Minister spoke with Levan Saginashvili and Alexander Maisuradze, head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, about the importance of promoting arm wrestling among young people and supporting this type of sport.Â
They also agreed that in the near future, the Ministry of Sports will start visiting sports clubs in Georgian municipalities and mountainous regions and hand over the sports equipment purchased by the Ministry.
Levan Saginashvili, called “Georgian Hulk,” confronted the Canadian champion Devon Larat at the tournament held in Istanbul and defeated 4:0.
Levan Saginashvili touched Lariat four times. The Canadians managed to resist only during the first duel, and the following confrontations were with Georgian absolute advantage.
