Mtskheta Municipality: OPD clinic opens in  Mukhrani village

A new outpatient department facility in Mukhrani Village of Mtskheta Municipality has opened. The new OPD centre will also have a new emergency medical assistance centre.

Tbilisi: A new outpatient department facility in Mukhrani Village of Mtskheta Municipality has opened. The new OPD centre will also have a new emergency medical assistance centre.

Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Health visited the OPD and inspected the outpatient clinic and emergency care building.

According to the Minister it is essential that the local people continuously receive high-quality primary care, emergency and other medical services on the spot.

The outpatient clinic is equipped with the necessary equipment to treat all kinds of facilities. As per the minister the residents will be served by highly qualified specialists in the medical centre.

In addition to village doctors, patients will periodically be consulted by doctors of various profiles (Specialties)invited from the capital city, Tbilisi.

It is worth noting that a telemedicine device has also been established. This device allows dermatologists, cardiologists, otorhinolaryngologists and ophthalmologists to conduct remote consultations making healthcare more accessible and convenient for the residents.

The outpatient clinic will also serve up to 7,000 residents of the municipality’s Mukhrani and Kanda villages.

At the same time the emergency coordination and emergency assistance centre will serve citizens living outside Mukhrani and nearby towns.

Along with Mikheil Sarjveladze, the other people present on this occasion included Deputy Minister Thea Giorgadze, Member of the Health Protection and Social Affairs Committee Dimitri Khundadze, State Trustee in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region Davit Nozadze, and Mayor of Mtskheti Municipality Dimitri Zurabishvili.

Moreover  the heads of emergency coordination and emergency assistance centres, medical holding, representatives of the Ministry of Health, and local authorities were present as well. It should be noted that 1004 rural outpatient clinics are functioning nationwide.

The deputy minister added that they are coordinating with other agencies and ministries for better health services. Meanwhile  the local residents of the Municipality, upon hearing about the development, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for such a noble initiative of the Ministry, reflecting the positive impact of the new facility.
