Georgia: “Tbilisi Student Festival 2022” was solemnly closed

Kakha Kaladze addressed the participants of the youth festival and noted that the municipality will encourage youth projects in the future.

“It is nice that more than 50,000 students from 34 Georgian universities participated in the festival. I want to wish each of you success in your work, in your everyday life. You probably know that the European Union declared 2022 as the Year of Youth. Accordingly, the slogan of today’s event is “Youth towards Europe”. Of course, Europe is the main one around which all of us are united. Our aspiration, daily actions are aimed at making our beautiful country a member of the big family called Europe and the European Union. Once again I want to congratulate you today. I want to wish you success. Be sure that the city hall, the municipality will always be at your side in terms of implementing interesting projects,” said Kakha Kaladze.



At the event, the winning universities in various directions were awarded, and the winning universities in the direction of culture were identified. A youth band concert and a DJ program were also held.

With the support of the City Service of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of the Tbilisi City Hall and the organization of the Association of Georgian Student Organizations, “Tbilisi Student Festival 2022” was held, within the framework of which tournaments and cultural tours were held in 15 sports. More than 50,000 students from 34 state and private higher education institutions operating in Georgia took part in the festival.

The event is traditional and is held every year. Its purpose is to promote a healthy way of life, to activate and diversify student life, to raise students’ motivation and to promote the realization of their talents.
