Lieutenant Colonel Ron Siewert the senior military experts of north Atlantic treaty organisation(NATO)visited Caucasus International University last week. He delivered a special lecture to student on topic “Analytical Methods Used by NATO Military Structures and Their Practical Application in Security Studies”.
As per official Facebook page of University, “On January 24 the Senior Military Analyst of the NATO Joint Command, Lieutenant Colonel Ron Siewert (Germany), who delivered a seminar on the topic: “Analytical Methods Used by NATO Military Structures and Their Practical Application in Security Studies at university”.
It is also worth to note that the NATO experts during his address have focused on the use of NATO military-analytical methods and security theories in scientific studies. At the same time, he also reviewed NATO’s strategy in relation to various states and discussed current issues of global politics during his address to University students.
It is noteworthy that the meeting continued in an interactive format, where the audience had the opportunity to get answers of their questions from experts also. The meeting was moderated by the Head of the English-language master’s Program in Global Politics Professor Vakhtang Maisaia.
Professor Vakhtang Maisaia is also head of the Security Studies / Master’s Program in International Relations and International Security at the Caucasus International University.
The seminar was attended by students and academic staff of the English-language master’s Program in Global Politics and Security Studies / master’s Program in International Relations and International Security.
NATO military analyst also underlined that with growing threats in cyber and data security has forces NATO to adopt new updated strategies immediately. According to him to tackle such kind modern day information technology related offence and global threats NATO also need to launch collective efforts.
According to him role of NATO to defend its members is exceptionally important. The University students in the end of their this dedicated special lecture extended their gratitude for NATO and other experts for apprising them about with updated information.
