NATO shares photo of the year 2022

Europe: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization( NATO) shared its photo of the year 2022, which shows the British Army Pathfinders parachute into North Macedonia as a part of exercise Swift Response 22. The image was captured by the British Army photographer Corporal(Cpl) Rob Kane. The selection of the winner was based on the number of votes by the users.

NATO has been unifying allies from Europe and North America in a military pact to defend the member nations against any threat, as well as the shared values, mutual cooperation and transatlantic unity.

The above image dates back to 4th April 1949 when twelve countries signed the North Atlantic treaty and marked the establishment of NATO in Washington, D.C.

In 1950, NATO’s first headquarters were established at 13 Belgrave Square in London
