Georgia: The new academic year has begun Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University on Monday September 30, 2024. A reception ceremony was held for new students at the University campus.
Merab Khalvash, the acting rector of the university, congratulated the freshmen on starting their studies and wished them success. The rector also briefed students in detail about university life, educational programs, scholarships, and international exchange opportunities.
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University also congratulates the students on beginning their studies through their Facebook channel.
At the event, the first-year students with 100% grants and the first-semester scholars who pointed to BSU in first place in registering for the Unified National Exams got the highest score in the third compulsory selection.
One thousand five hundred twenty-eight undergraduate and 170 postgraduate students got the right to enrol in BSU in the academic year 2024-2025. More than 400 freshmen will study in 10 priority programs of BSU, which are funded by the state. Compared to previous years, the enrollment rate for undergraduate programs has been high and is almost 100%.
The number of applicants has also increased by 106%. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is among the five highest educational institutions in Georgia according to the request of entrants.
Ten demandable BSU programs are available: Psychology, Computer Science, Law, General Education Primary Teacher Training Integrated Bachelor-Master Educational Program, History, Georgian Philology, English Philology, International Relations, Public Administration, and Business Administration.
More than 7000 students study at seven university faculties, including 750 foreigners.
