Irakli Kobakahidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia announced a new housing project for army personnel. This will be one of the largest housing projects in Tbilisi, Georgia with the capacity to accommodate 1200 army personnel.
Prime Minister Kobakhidze announced the construction of this new project which will provide flats to soldiers. He said the government is going to execute a major housing project for amry. The project will include 43 new blocks and can easily accommodate almost 1,200 army men.
The PM was addressing a government session when he announced this significant initiative. As per the PM, any soldier who will be eligible can buy a flat at a special price. The special price will be $100 per square meter. Interest-free instalments are also available.
The PM highlighted his government’s efforts to provide affordable housing to armyman. As per the PM the government has already taken an initiative to improve the social condition of military personnel and their family members.
During his address the PM motivated the youth to be part of the Georgian armed forces. He added youth when will join the armed forces, will made Georgian defence more strong.
While talking about the defence ministry’s quick action in completing the housing project the PM said “I would like to express my gratitude to the defence ministry of Georgia for such a great and quick response to meet the housing requirement of army personnel.
It is worth noting that the size of the plot will range between 50 to 110 square meters. Every family would be allocated the flat as per needs. The project will continue under the new defence code, which has been introduced to improve soldiers’ living conditions.
The PM also explained that providing a world-class residential facility is always a priority of his government. Meanwhile the armed personnel thanked the government, especially the Prime Minister for taking a personal interest in this project.
Armed veterans have lauded the government’s initiative. They expressed hopes that this would attract youth to join the armed forces.
