Tbilisi, Georgia: In the Vaki district, recreational spaces and sports fields were set up near the Vazha-Pshavela V quarter buildings. Two squares and a combined sports field were placed on an area of approximately 5,000 sq m.

The Mayor noted, “In the fifth quarter of Vazha-Pshavela, a complete rehabilitation of the area near the first and second buildings was carried out.” “It’s about half a hectare, which is divided into two parts. Within the scope of the project, recreation areas, a lighting system, and rehabilitation of the combined sports field were carried out, Kakha Kaladze added.
In addition, children’s attractions, a walking path, and planted trees and plants. There is also a separate exercise space, which is used by a lot of people. The area is very tidy, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Local people must also be involved in the implementation of the project.
“We will continue to produce such types of works in all districts and districts of the city in the future,” said Kakha Kaladze.
As part of the works, the recreation pavilion and irrigation system have been set up, appropriate parking furniture has been installed, and the slopes around the buildings. At the end of the project, the area was green, and 222 root trees were planted. Tree cutting and shaping work was also carried out.
The cost of the recreation areas and sports ground project is approximately 949,000 GEL. Along with the mayor of the capital, Vaki district spokesman Levan Kipiani, and Tbilisi City Council member Beka Gelenava were present.
