Charlie D’Amelio was born on 1st May 2004 to an American family. She is a social media personality, voice actor and a dancer. She started dancing for almost 10 years before posting content on video sharing platform TikTok.

Her frequent dance tutorials and marvellous dance sequence started gaining a huge, fan following surprising former TikTok queen Loren Gray.

D’Amelio is only TikToker to earn both 50 million and 10 million subscribers on the platform. Forbes has named her the highest-paid Tiktoker and the biggest star.


Charlie is a trained dancer and, she began dancing at the age of three. She previously attended King’s school, but she is now studying in a virtual school.


D’Amelio started posting lip-syncing videos with her friend on Tiktok, along with another video platform like a Duet. But what song made her famous? Her dance video on the hit song Renegade made her renown among other users. She is now often referred to as the CEO of the song Renegade. Her frequent dance tutorials on new songs made a TikTok star.

She actively participates in projects to create awareness like the one campaign on social distancing. Partnering with Procter and Gamble, she initiated a campaign dance on many media sites to encourage people to follow the rules.


“Some of the most hurtful comments that I read about myself online are…about my body shape, my body type, which hits close to home because I struggled a lot with body image, body dysmorphia, [and] bad eating habits.”

As a fierce teenager, she has openly spoken about her eating disorders and addresses various issues about body shaming. During her UNICEF campaign, she has said people often say unkind remarks about the body and her public image. Though she never complains deep down, it hurts to see people saying hurtful things without knowing the reality.
