WALKING DEAD – ABOUT THE SHOW

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series, which premiered on 31st October 2010. The show is based on a comic book series of the same name which was created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. Andrew Lincoln plays the role of Rick Grimes which is also the lead character till season 9. The premise of the show consists of a post-zombie apocalypse world. The zombies referred to as the “walkers” chase after humans in order to eat them. Rick Grimes is the leader of the survivors from the Atlanta region. He does everything in his power to keep his people safe from the walkers and the other survivors.

THE ELEVENTH SEASON IS ON ITS WAY AND FANS CANNOT WAIT

The 10th season premiered on October 6, 2019, and has been renewed for one last season. The final season will consist of 24 episodes. It is expected to come out in late 2021 and will conclude in 2022.

THE CAST OF WALKING DEAD

The cast of the series consists of several talented actors whose roles keep rotating according to the needs of the storyline in every season. However, many characters are killed or written off. Sometimes some actors also wish to leave the show, compelling the writers to write off certain characters.

Some of the noteworthy members of the cast are :

  1. Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes.
  2. Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon.
  3. Danai Gurira as Michonne.
  4. Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene.
  5. Jeffery Dean Morgan as Negan.
  6. Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes.
  7. Christian Serratos as Rosita Espinosa
  8. Steven Yuen as Glenn Rhee

Maggie Greene was also absent from the show and her arrival in the final season along with some new characters will be intriguing to watch. This will be seen in the extended part of season 10 which comes out in February 2021. Hopefully, these bonus episodes will provide a proper explanation to the fans about Greene’s absence for over a year!
