Tbilisi: The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Georgia denies the fake information regarding its functioning. Ministry Criticized some television channels for spreading false propaganda.
As per the the statement of the Ministry of Defence television channels that are being run by the National Movement are blatantly continuing anti-state activities and damaging the authoritative state institutions through deliberate misinformation.
It is worth noting that the National Movement party message box continues to fabricate fake news about issues such as the clothing of the defence forces or food quality.
It is to be noted that the process involves a former Defence Ministry employee who through messages coordinated with the party disseminates misinformation about the Ministry’s individual, successful projects and also creates doubts about future projects.
A spokesperson of the ministry said that the absurdity of these allegations is best known by military personnel of the Defense Forces of Georgia who are provided with the highest quality services, NATO standards summer and winter field exercises and daily uniforms. They can clearly see the difference, in terms of quality and delivery of services.
There are also some information that Prior to the creation of Delta Textile, there were serious shortcomings in both the quality of military uniforms and the timing of delivery to soldiers, made even more apparent by the COVID-19 pandemic. The enterprise was created to correct the aforementioned defects for uniform supply to soldiers.
Ministry of Defence also made it clear that the real face of the politically engaged media is trying to perpetuate years of established practice and subordinate the defence force on every issue. As opposed to misinforming the community by the mentioned groups, the Ministry of Defense will continue to provide accurate information to the population.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Defence Ministry already denied this misinformation some months ago. Now again, the Ministry has denied this allegation. Ministry also took to their social media handles to provide the information.
Social media users gave mixed responses to the post of Ministry One user; tea Tsintsadze-Sakvarelidze commented that “It is better to join the reserve military service than “making stories”! If you really care about defending yourself. Good luck to our defence force”.
Another user nakmmely Zurab Gavtadze commented that “You are a party body and not the Ministry of Defense. I request all of you to deliberately dismantle state institutions. For your existence, I spit on you Bidzo’s shenanigans, and on top of that, your opponent, Nationals.
Almost every soldier’s responsibility will be to enforce the law and protect the homeland from you. They should be held accountable for actions against statehood.

Army spokesperson also said that these allegations are meant to damage the image of the army in the eyes of the General public. He also said that the Ministry of Defence is working very sincerely to implement the measures for the welfare of Georgian armed Forces. He also said that strict legal action should be intiated against those who are spreading misinformation.
