“Generation Rustaveli” is opportunity for youth to share ideas: Nino Latsabidze

Nino Latsabidze the mayor of Rustavi City Hall termed the “Generation Rustaveli” program an opportunity for youth to share the idea of government with local adminstration. The program aimed to involve young people in the process of self-government.

It should be specifically mentioned that the local administration of the Rustavi city hall has started implementing a new project to actively involve young people in Rustavi’s development.

Generation Rustaveli is the name of the new project (program). Under this program the City hall, especially the Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze invited young people to talk about Rustavi. They can share their valuable thoughts and ideas for the smooth administration of city hall.

At the beginning session the Mayor of Rustvai Nino Latsabidze held the first meeting with the youth of Rustavi. At the meeting, the Rustaveli youth shared their visions and projects for the city’s development with Nino Latsabidze who asked them questions on interesting and topical issues. Moreover as per the information Youth discussions with the Mayor will be held once a month and the participants will be selected through online registration.

It is also very important that Mayor Nino Latsabidze’s dream project “Generation Rustaveli” gives young people the opportunity to be more actively involved in implementing local self-government.

It is to be added that the Mayor always encourage the young people to participate in the policy implementation. As per the Mayor the youth of the country have unique and innovative ideas. She also added that we need to tap the potential of the youth of the country.

A large number of youth participated in this first meeting with the Mayor. There was also a presentation for the participants to apprise them about the various activities of city hall. They suggested that there should be more focus on education and health services.
