Kareli Municipality: Number of meetings under “village support program” being held

To plan the new project and evaluate the progress of the ongoing project, a “village support program “ is being held in various municipalities of Georgia. The public shares their idea and suggestions for new projects that are required to make the area more planned and developed as well.

On 2nd February another meeting was held under “village support program”. The First Deputy Mayor of Kareli Municipality, Vladimir Sulakvelidze and representatives of local authorities also attended this meeting with the population of villages in Avlevi and Abisi administrative units within the framework of the “Village Support Program”.

At the beginning of the meeting the Mayor and other representatives of the municipality apprised the locals of various projects that are being carried out by the municipality. They also provide information regarding the budgetary allocation for these Projects.

The Mayor on the occasion speaking specifically said that the Municipality administration is determined to provide the world-class civic amenities to all the residents of the locality. He also added that the main focus of the administration is to upgrade the existing infrastructure especially health and education services.

At the meetings the local population demanded from the government representatives the priority projects that should be implemented with the funds allocated under the Rural Support Program.

After the long-held discussion, the following projects were selected for new work:
Knolev – arrangement of drainage canal and internal roads;
Avlevi – arrangement of internal roads;
Ceronis – arrangement of drainage channels;
Abisistavi – internal roads arrangement;
Abyss – arrangement of drainage canal;
Greek – setting up a drainage channel;

 

A significant number of people were present on the occasion, along with female participants as well. The gathered people expressed their gratitude towards the municipal authorities as well. They also agreed that there is a need to invest extra money in projects that are related to health and education.

The Mayor assured them that the people’s maximum suggestions would be implemented for the better administration of the municipality.
