Kutaisi: The local administration of the Kutaisi municipality received relief material. Recently a natural disaster caused a number of problems for the residents of the locality.
A natural disaster caused by unexpected bad weather has caused a flood-like situation in many parts of the country. Similarly the region of Kutaisi has suffered huge losses.
The Kutaisi city hall provided information about the delivery of relief material on their Facebook page. It stated that “Kutaisi self-government has given materials needed for the rehabilitation of roofs of residential houses to the people affected by the storm”.
It is to be specifically mentioned that as a result of heavy rainfall on February 6 residential houses were damaged in the administrative units of Vakisubani, Nikea, Kakhianouri, Dzelqviani, Sapichkhia and Victory. Some people become homeless due to damage to rooftops, walls, etc.
Meanwhile the Mayor of Kutaisi, Ioseb Khakhaleishvili Deputy Mayor Yuza Ugulava and Deputy Chairman of the City Council Gia Basiladze met with other representatives of self-government and discussed the situation.
In Kutaisi due to strong winds and storms on February 6 several roofs of residential houses were damaged as a result of unpredictable rain. A commission was formed by the authorities in this regard and the damage caused by the natural disaster was reported.
On the other hand the Mayor added, “ We have already started giving the materials needed to the population for immediate help; the process will continue and no families will be left without the attention of the local authorities. “
Relief materials include food, plastic sheets, medicines, fodder, and other necessities for families whose houses have been totally damaged. It should be added that relief work is also being executed by the authorities in the other municipalities.
Meanwhile the families who received the relief material from the authorities thanked the municipality especially the mayor and representative for the necessary help.
The mayor also assured that more efforts will be made to provide timely relief and improve the lives of affected families in the near future.
