The United Water Supply Company of the Ministry of Regional Development of Georgia is implementing a large-scale water supply project in 15 villages.
These fifteen villages included the Matsevani, Goltei, Didi Durnuki, Pata Durnuki, Kotishi, Tontsaro, Khaishi, Kosalari, TBC, Fartschisi, Sagrasheni, Ardisubani, Enageti, Shavsakdari and Assureti. Most of the villages fall in the city of Tetritskaro and the municipality.
Mayor of Tetritskaro Municipality Giorgi Tsiklauri, together with the Chairman of the City Council Gocha Tedoradze the director of the United Water Supply Company Alexander Tevdoradze, and the contractor of the company’s representatives visited the construction site and inspected the construction work.
According to the visiting delegation almost 90% of the work has already been completed. Moreover the works in the city of Tetritskaro have been completed. At the same time all the citizens of the city who have been using uninterrupted 24-hour water supply for several months have been registered as subscribers. Works have also been completed in 9 other villages where the procedures of registering the citizens as a subscribers are actively underway.
The municipal representative said that the total cost of this project is 63580999 GEL. The project’s contract is valid upto February 28, 2025 but works are scheduled to be completed in June 2024 after which 11167 beneficiaries will enjoy 24-hour uninterrupted water supply.
A local news channel provides the information in this regard as well. Channel also said that the heavy machinery is deployed to complete the work as soon as possible. It is also to be added that the works of the water supply project were a long pending demand of the locals.
The earth-moving machines were busy digging earth alongside the road. The water pipes will be placed beneath the earth. This is being done to make the water supply smooth for the local citizens of the municipality .
The officials further stated that more construction work will be carried out in the future in other areas as well.
