Tbilisi gives ownership certificates to families

The mayor of the capital city of Georgia Kakha Kaladze handed ownership certificates to the families that were living in the different cities of Tbilisi.

Tbilisi: The mayor of the capital city of Georgia Kakha Kaladze handed ownership certificates to the families that were living in the different cities of Tbilisi.

It is to be specifically mentioned that this time residential areas were leased to families living in six districts of Tbilisi as per the available information. Notably almost 40 families living in the districts of Nadzaladevi, Gldani, Didubi, Chugureti, Samgori, and Saburtalo were leased for a symbolic price. They get the ownership certificate with the symbolic price of just one GEL.

It is further added that many families lived for a long time in residential areas which they could not legalize until now but now they have the legal ownership of their own houses.

Speaking specifically Kakha Kaladze stated that “Today we have handed over ownership certificates to 40 families. Similarly first of all I want to congratulate these people their children, and grandchildren who became the owners of their own houses. I join their joy of being the owner of homes “.

Mayor further added” We have already satisfied about 3,000 families by providing them ownership rights as well. It is quite a successful program and we will continue the process in the future also. I call on all those people who are faced with the mentioned problem to contact their district administration and our employees will help and explain to them what documents need to be collected to legalize residential premises. We will make many more people happy with this program so that they can live without any feat in their own houses as well”.

The Mayor of Tbilisi was accompained by the head of the property management agency Irakli Tavartkiladze Governors of the mentioned districts as well as deputies of the Parliament of Georgia and Tbilisi Sakrebulo attended the event.

In the year of 2017 the process of transferring the ownership of residential premises that had not been legalized for years started at the initiative of Kakha Kaladze has finally has begun. Hundreds of applications from those wishing to legalize spaces have been submitted to the capital’s city hall administration which are being reviewed and approved step by step.
