Georgia: Joseph Bagaturia meets Peru’s ambassador

Joseph Bagaturia the first deputy minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Georgia has recently met with Ambassador of the Republic of Peru Emergency and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Cesar Augusto de las Casa Dias.

Joseph Bagaturia the first deputy minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Georgia has recently met with Ambassador of the Republic of Peru Emergency and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Cesar Augusto de las Casa Dias.

This was an important meeting that discussed prospects for cooperation and deepening partnership between the two countries in the fields of culture and sports.On the occasion of this significant meeting Georgian minister Ioseb Bagaturia reviewed and shared the activities of the Ministry with the Ambassador.

Similarly the First Deputy Minister noted that on May 22-26, 2024 almost 19 athletes of the Georgian Weightlifting Federation will participate in the IWF World Youth Weightlifting Championships (IWF World Youth Championships).

He further stressed that a stable and stronger relationship between both countries is need of the hour. He also underlined many similarities between the culture and heritage of both countries.

At the same time Ambassador Emergency and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to Georgia Cesar Augusto de las Casas Dias on his part talked about the specifics of the management of culture and sports by the Peruvian government.

Also the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru focused on opportunities for cooperation with Georgia in the field of film industry and the parties agreed on future consultations in this regard.

Joseb Bagaturia noted with the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru that the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia welcomes the activation of cooperation with the Republic of Peru in the field of culture and sports and the implementation of common projects.

Notably, both countries share many cultural values, moreover, both countries are members of the United Nations. On the other hand both the countries are active members of the Pacific Alliance in which Georgia is an observer.

The Minister also took to his social media pages to provide the information in this regard. The social media users while reacting to this say that this is a good sign of better and improved future relations.
