Borjomi: David Zaalishvili chairs meeting held at town hall of Municipality

David Zaalishvili the chairman of the representative body of the Borjomi municipality chaired a meeting recently held at the municipality's town hall to discuss the important issues of the Municipality.

David Zaalishvili the chairman of the Borjomi municipality chaired a meeting recently held at the municipality’s town hall. The meeting was also attended by the Mayor of Borjomi Municipality Otar Arbolishvili.

During the meeting many issues were discussed including various completed, ongoing, and planned projects.

The deputies discussed and approved the issues defined by the agenda some of which are as follows:

  1. About the approval of the budget of Borjomi Municipality for 2024 as well as about making changes in the establishment of N41 of December 22, 2023 
  2. Borjomi municipality budget performance report for the last year of 2023
  3. Report on state procurement made by Borjomi municipality in last year
  4. Approval of M3 category bus routes and passenger routes within the administrative boundaries of Borjomi municipality the organisation of municipal transport services for the population and individual categories of concessionary (free) travel 
  5. Within the framework of the village support program the distribution of money to villages of Borjomi municipality
  6. Approval of the intermediate documents of Borjomi Municipality on April 26, 2023 regarding the approval of the medium-term documents(2023-2030) of sustainable development goals
  7.  About the transfer of real estate owned by Borjomi municipality located in Bakuriani to the state for free
  8. Creation of the Borjomi Municipality Council for Gender Equality in Borjomi Municipality  
  9. Report of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection and Agrarian Affairs about the work done in 2023
  10. About the approval of the work plan of the II quarter of Borjomi Municipality Councils 

 

Similarly many other issues were also mentioned during the meeting and discussed in detail. The municipality’s representative further said that frequent meetings will be held in future to discuss the issues of local people. It was also highlighted that public participation is very important for the formation of people-friendly policies.

All the participants of the meeting also felt the need to enhance public participation in future as well.
