The construction of the Upper Seri Forest Park is going on in full swing in Khashuri. The first stage of the project has been completed and soon the second stage of work will be completed wheras the work of the third stage will begin shortly.
Tengiz Chitiashvili the Mayor of the municipality together with the representatives of the city hall reviewed the work in progress by visiting the site today.
It is to be added that “Within the first stage of the works, outdoor lights, treadmills, running and bicycle paths have been arranged along with different types of restrooms which have been constructed as well”
Similarly, the installation of the benches, tables, and scrap bins as well as the construction of the amphitheater and skateboard rink is underway within the framework of the second phase of the project.
All the Buildings, entrance areas, and spaces between paths have also been beautified with Dolomite decorative white stones at the park entrance as well.
There are also some dedicated spots that have been adapted for disabled people. As part of Phase three, there will be basketball, tennis, and soccer courts, outdoor trainers, and, most importantly, space for signing ceremonies will also be there. A lot of green seedlings will be planted, which will make the area more environmentally friendly.
“It will add more charm to this place. The construction work after completion will be a big facility for the local population who will benefit hugely from the project” said the mayor of Khashuri Municipality Tengiz Chitiashvili while inspecting the works.
The project is jointly financed by the Fund of Projects in the Local Municipality and the Region. The cost of the first stage was 803897 GEL and at the second stage, the cost of the stage works will be 1 158 885 GEL.
Khashuri city hall administration also took to their social media page and shared information on the progress of the project along with pictures. The social media user appreciated the initiative of the administration for providing the facilities to the people.
