Rustvai: Mayor attends a holy family rally

The Mayor of Rustvai City, Nino Latsabidze, attended the holy family rally organized in Rustavi City with a large number of people. The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates the day across the country, including the capital city of Tbilisi.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the speaker of the Georgian Parliament, and many other national leaders extended their best wishes to the citizens on this auspicious day.  The Rusatavi Mayor participated in the march with family members and took to his official Facebook page to extend his best wishes.

The mayor wrote in the Facebook post, “Today is an important day for every and each citizen of the country and for us as well.  At the same time for me personally the feeling of mother and father’s love, respect, and gratitude of my wife’s parents is the greatest thing of my life as well.”

The mayor further stated, “The most precious thing that is very close to me and my husband is our big family. Today is special for me because it is associated with the greatest values of our lives. I wish all and each of the citizens of Georgia strong families because strong families will make our country even stronger.”

A large gathering of people took part in the procession held across the city of Rustavi. Men, women, children, and senior citizens joined the rally.  They wore Georgia’s beautiful traditional wardrobe. Some held Georgian flags in their hands to show respect for the country’s great traditional values.

The ancient dress and women’s dress were very impressive, as it revived memories of the past. The participants took selfies while congratulating each other. After the Facebook post of Rustavi’s Mayor  other social media users also commented and extended their best wishes.

One Facebook user  Nino Gvencedze commented “The son of exemplary parents creates a strong family  which is the foundation of a strong country. May God bless you and strengthen you.” Another user, Leila Ficxelauri, commented, “Congratulations to all of you. God bless all our families.”
