During this significant meeting the cases of violations of the rights of the child were discussed in  details by both the sides . Simultaneously during the session of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, the Georgian delegation presented a report to them.

It is to be added that UNICEF is a world-level body working to protect children’s rights. The agency has been instrumental in launching a children’s protection drive in many conflict zones across the globe. At the same time, UNICEF also helps local, regional, and other civil organizations that are also working to improve children’s lives.

As far as the question of Georgia is concerned, the children as well as the women are still the most vulnerable section of Georgian society. It is to be added that just a day ago, the public defender of Georgia called upon the Georgian government to make a strict law to curb the menace of violations against women. Many non-governmental organizations, civil organizations, and other groups are doing their best to protect the interests of children and women.
