The NGO, based in Tbilisi, is actively providing volunteering opportunities to its members. These dedicated NGO’s volunteers through their participation in the ‘Volunteer Mentor Program,’ are making a significant impact on community members.
The NGO with a long-standing commitment to promoting volunteerism among young people continues to provide opportunities for personal growth and learning. Over the years they have motivated and encouraged hundreds of young people to engage in volunteer work fostering a culture of service.
While speaking about the program, Nia Jikia, The head of the project underlined that “Our project was not only important for experienced and old volunteers, but it also has the potential to promote the culture of volunteering among new young members. The project benefits the new members, especially those with no prior volunteering experience.”
She also expressed happiness that “ it is glad to see that these members through their volunteer activities are also inspiring their peers to take the first steps and become active volunteers.” It is worth noting that volunteers by stepping out of one’s comfort zone and engagge in unusual activities in everyday life to do social services. The project’s volunteers proved that creativity knows no bounds.
The project’s head also said that it is a great honour for me to interact with volunteers on a daily basis and to organize study visits to day-care centers for people with disabilities and children. Moreover it was an opportunity for the participants to better understand the immediate results of volunteering. I am happy to see the satisfaction among those who benefit from our volunteer work.
It is to be specifically mentioned that volunteering is called noble work. In this work interested people gather to provide social services without any monetary benefits. They visit needy people to help them with food, medicines, clothes, and other daily necessities. Volunteering also included helping people affected by natural disasters. At the same time helping elderly people by visiting elderly homes is also part of unique volunteering.
Besides all the above the members of the NGO launchs frequent cleaning drives to ensure cleanliness. Moreover NGO volunteers also work to save abandoned animals with serious, life-threatening diseases.
