Georgia: The Head of the Department of Relations with Regions of the Government Administration of Georgia, Nika Tkemaladze, introduced the new State Trustee in Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti Region, David Verava, to the representatives of local self-government, to the Trustee’s Administration.
The introduction of the new state trustee was made on December 13, 2024, by the head of the department via a speech to the media.
Nika Tkemaladze wished David Verava success in his future endeavors. During the presentation, attention was focused on projects with state priorities.
“In the Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti region, I introduced David Verava to the position of State Trustee to the chairmen of the City Council and the employees of the State Trustee administration. Until now, he held the position of Deputy Commissioner of State, therefore, this job is not new to him and I wish him great success. I am sure that it will bring a lot of goodness to the Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti region. I would also like to thank his predecessor Giorgi Guguchia, for his hard work and I wish him success in the legislative body,” Nika Tkemaladze, the head of the Department of Relations with Regions of the Government of Georgia, in a speech to the media.
“First of all, I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Georgia and our political team for their great confidence, it is a great responsibility for me and a great honor to serve my country from the region that is my home.” Nowadays, important projects are underway in the Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti region, which will continue more effectively in the future. The government’s program lists important infrastructural and investment projects that will greatly benefit my country, region, and our people. “We will further strengthen the involvement of local people in project selection and decision-making process,” said David Verava, the new State Commissioner of Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti, in a comment made to the media.
Davit Verava has been holding the position of Deputy State Trustee of Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti for the last five years, he was previously the manager of the Samegrelo Upper Svaneti regional branch of the National Bank of Georgia, and he also worked as the regional manager of various financial institutions, Davit Verava was a member of the Zugdidi council of 1998 invitation.
