Nodar Bokeria, Georgian Youth Representative to the UN (United Nation) and Nino Karalashvili, Georgian Youth Delegate to the Council of Europe Congress met with young people. They shared their experience with members of youth delegation.
It is worth to note that at the meeting, Nodar Bokeria spoke about the work carried out within the framework of his mandate, current challenges and future. They also focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Nino Karalashvili, on this occasion also shared with young people her experience gained at the Council of Europe Congress and spoke about the Council’s program also called Rejuvenating Politics. She also revealed her future while working under the council.
The meeting was held in a question-and-answer mode and young people had the opportunity to receive information on issues of interest to them. It is also to be note that Nodar Bokeria is the winner of the Youth Agency’s grant competition – “Georgian Youth Representative to the UN”.
This very important grant competition is part of the program “Young Delegates to the UN”, which unites young people from all over the world.
At the same time Nino Saakashvili is a member of the Youth Team and a young delegate to the Congress of the Council of Europe. She was selected on the basis of a competition and was awarded a one-year (2024-2025) mandate.
Moreover since 2014, the Council of Europe has been implementing a program (“Rejuvenating Politics”), the aim of which is to promote the participation of young people in public and democratic life.
The key speakers on this meeting urged young delegates to participates in social welfare activities. They also called upon students and members of this delegation to participate in political activities as well to get experience of policies for social welfare as well.
