The official visit of the Georgian delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan has begun. The Prime Minster of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met the official and representatives of Government of Uzbek during this visit.
The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze shared the snippets of his visit on his Official Facebook page on March 4, 2025, Tuesday. The PM also shared some information related to his visit along with the photographs.
According to the information shared by the Prime Minister, it should be noted that during his visit, he met with Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojayev, and Mayor of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov, at the International Airport named after Islam Karimov of Tashkent.
The information shared by the PM stated that during the official visit, meetings are planned with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzioev, Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov, as well as the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Legislative Body, and the Chairman of the Senate.
It is worth noting that the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan will be held in Tashkent with the participation of the governments of the two countries.
The meeting noted the successful cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan in various fields and the prospects for further deepening trade, economic, and investment ties.
