Tbilisi: The victory is always on the side of the people who worked for it and Georgian Judoka Tato Grigalashvili proved it again by winning the third euro judo champion title at the European Judo Championship held in Zagreb, Croatia.
Tato Grigalashvili compted in the 81kg category to clinch this feat with his continued dedication and consistency. In the final match, Tato Grigalashvili defeated his Dutch opponent Frank de Wit. He conquered the fight just within 44 seconds which reflected his determination to win the gold and proved his ability once again.
Lasha Shavdatuashvili had already claimed the bronze medal earlier on Friday defeating his Moldovan rival Adil Osmanov in extra time.It is to be specifically mentioned that the four other athletes from Georgia, Giorgi Chikhelidze, Eter Askilashvili, Mariam Chanturia, and Nino Gulbani, also went to compete but could not cross the initial stage in their respective categories.

The European Judo Union on their official Facebook page stated that “THREE-TIME EUROPEAN CHAMPION ,World Champion Tato GRIGALASHVILI shines on the big stage on more time.”
While reacting to the post of the European Judo Union large number of social media users commented and wished the best of luck to him for the gold medal at the Olympic games as well.

People are posting the picture hero of the Judo World and wishing him the best of luck in winning gold at the Olympic games. The representative of the Georgian Judo Association and the Ministry of Sports and Youth also congratulated him and said that they would try to provide all possible assistance to the sportspersons of the country.
