The administration of Ozurgeti Municipality has established a new public school at Ureki town. The new school will be equipped with the latest facilities to provide world-class education to the local students.
The new school which has been established by Ozurgeti Municipality is located in Ureki town. It will cater to the educational needs of a large number of students across the town and its neighbouring areas.
This new school will also have 24 classrooms, a laboratory, a library, a teaching room, a doctor’s office, a sports hall, an assembly hall, sanitary units, a canteen, and an outdoor sports ground. It will be a three-story building to accommodate the maximum number of people. The surrounding area of the school was also improved under this project.
The project is being financed with 13.7 million GEL from the state budget. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Irakli Karseladze inspected the new school. He visited the new school site with the Mayor of Ozurgeti, Avtandil Talakvadze, and Giorgi Urushadze the State Trustee in the Guria region.
On this occasion the Mayor said, “Ureki finally has a new school following modern standards, where 450 students will study with all the latest facilities under the guidance of expert teachers. New classroom spaces, technologies, sports infrastructure, and adapted conditions for people with special needs will ensure the modern education process and the harmonious development of children.”
He further stated” I thank the Government of Georgia, especially the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze and the Ministry and the Municipal Development Fund for the implementation of important projects in our municipality.”
The visiting members also interacted with the school management, and teachers to get direct feedback. The delegation ‘s members asked the school management to share if they have any grievances about the education ministry or the new school building. The Mayor and other members appreciated the new building and other facilities such as a library and sports complex.
