Avtandil Talakvadze, the mayor of the Ozurgeti Municipality recently inaugurated the new kindergarten in the municipality. The state commissioner Giorgi Urushadze accompanied the mayor on this occasion.
The new kindergarten has been established with modern standards and technology and has been equipped with almost all required facilities for the students as well.
The staff also held a ribbon-cutting ceremony while welcoming the mayor and state commissioner to the school. The school’s building was light green and decorated with a balloon, flowers, and other decorative materials.
The other dignitaries who were also present there include the Members of the Ozurgeti City Council, the Deputy Mayor and the Director of the Preschool Education Center. They also inspected and were informed about the educational process and other facilities being provided by the school administration as well.
This preschool in Vake district has the capacity to accommodate almost 60 children and is equipped with new inventory, toys and furniture made of environmentally friendly materials.
New preschools also have the arrangement of small beds for the little children to rest. The mayor visited each classroom personally and inspected the facilities there.It should also be added that the school is accessible for students with special needs. Moreover at this time five more new kindergartens are being constructed in the municipality.
Speaking on the occasion the mayor said that “ we are doing rehabilitation. On behalf of Ozurgeti municipality I thank the Government of Georgia the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and the EU for supporting our municipality.
The kindergarten project was implemented within the framework of the integrated development program and with the local budget financing. The mayor and another member of the visiting delegation also interacted with the little pupils. The mayor played games with them also.
At the same time the visiting delegation also discussed with teachers the needs and requirements of the school. They assure the teachers of all kinds of help . The school teaching staff thanked the mayor and state commissioner for a visit to the school.
