Papuna Margvelidze hosts beneficiary of govt sponsored paid internships program

Georgia: Papuna Margvelidze, the State Trustee of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region hosted young students undergoing internships today. These are students who are are undergoing four-month paid internship in various government institutions throughout the region.

The meeting with the youth was attended by the Majority MP of Racha-Lechkhum-Svaneti Gocha Enukidze, Deputy of the State Trustee, Berdia Chanxeliani, Aluda Tutisan, mayors of municipalities and chairpersons of the City Council.

At the meeting, the government representatives introduced the trainees to the progress of the program and talked about the structure and work specifications of the administration of the state trustee and municipalities. At the end of the meeting, they wished the young people success in completing the internship program.

“I think the paid internship programme is a significant initiative that provides young people with a unique opportunity for career development and work experience,” State Trustee Papuna Marvelidze said during the meeting.

“The program will be an initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, whose coordination we implement in self-governing units and administration. It is important to note that each intern will have a mentor, and at the end of their internship, they will receive appropriate characteristics. We had a very interesting meeting today with the youth; we talked about the structure and work of the administration of the state trustee and municipalities and also introduced the progress of the internship program,” he added.

The Ambrolauri Municipality reminds the public that, starting in September 2024, young people who have already filled out the relevant applications and passed the interview stage will be undergoing paid internships in various government agencies.

The Ambrolauri Municipality is a self-governing subdivision in western Georgia. Its governing bodies are based in the city of Ambrolauri. Together with the neighbouring municipalities Lentekhi, Oni, and Tsageri, the Ambrolauri Municipality forms the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region.
