The parliamentary delegation of Georgia, consisting of Deputy Speaker of Parliament Levan Ioseliani, Chairman of the Committee of Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Beka Odisharia, Member of the Committee of the Diasporan and Caucasian Affairs Nodar Turdzeladze, Agrarian Saki First Deputy Chairman of the Goat Committee Gela Samkharauli, Chairman of the Committee of Education and Science Giorgi Amilakhvari participated in the “Globalize EU” platform in Paris.
Beka Odisharia, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues, addressed the conference participants and noted that the part of our society that participates in this conference makes a significant contribution to the development of their country.
“You are the most important, educated and innovative part of our society, focused on the future. For a country that does not have rich resources of oil, gas and other minerals, the main value is human resources, a significant part of which is gathered here in Paris and is aimed at creating wealth and developing its own country, which will take a worthy place in the European family, “- said Beka Odisharia.
In his address, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Levan Ioseliani, noted that the future of our country, among others, is in the hands of an important and successful diaspora.
“Since entering politics, I have considered relations with the diaspora as one of my priorities, which is why I am actively cooperating with the Diaspora Committee, and I am happy to participate in today’s conference. It is clear to me that the future of our country is in the hands of important, successful diasporas, among others. That is why I want to be constantly informed about the current events in and around the diaspora, to monitor and support the diaspora’s involvement in the country’s socio-economic development, “- said Levan Ioseliani.
Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Education and Science Committee, addressed the participants of the “Globalize EU” conference.
“Given the scarce resources that Georgia has, the main source of rapid wealth creation is innovation and technology, especially the promotion of startups. It is important to bring startups closer to the education system and the university space, which will give impetus to the realization of innovative ideas for young people. “We will work actively to promote this,” said Giorgi Amilakhvari.
The Globalize EU platform brings together more than 5,000 successful compatriots living abroad. The conference was attended by 200 startups and current businessmen.
