Georgia: Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia announced a training course at N. Vachnadze 7 in the Labor office for its officers, starting 31 March, 2025. The course will be based upon pre-registration using a Google Docs form.Â
According to the information provided by the Personal Data Protection Service on their official Facebook account, lessons will be held three times a week from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The course will continue for a duration of three weeks.
Moreover, the number of participants will be limited during the course, which is why the Personal Data Protection Service continues to encourage people to register themselves for the course as early as they can.
The training course will cover several issues, including:Â
- History and legislative foundations of the Institute of Personal Data Protection, European legislation of personal data protection
- Principles and foundations of data processing
- Rights of the data entity
- Responsibilities of the person responsible for the processing and the person authorized for the processing
- International data transmission, appointment of a special representative
- Practice of personal data protection service
- Data processing process management – Personal Data Protection Officer
- Practice of Georgian and European supervisory bodies
Data Protection Collaboration in Abkhazia
The Personal Data Protection Service recently held an informational meeting with representatives of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.
The meeting was held in an interactive mode and touched upon the challenges of data processing identified in daily activities. During the question-and-answer session, participants gained practical knowledge about the principles, foundations, security and best practices of working with personal data.
The training was attended by representatives of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, the Ministry of Justice and Civil Integration, the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, the Information and Analytical Center, the Center for Internship, Qualification Improvement and Employment Support for Internally Displaced Persons from Abkhazia – “Business Incubator”, and the Agency for Coordination with Medical Institutions of Abkhazia.
