Tbilisi: Irkali Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia addressed the attendees of a presentation organized by the Georgian National Public Registry Agency.
In his address, the Prime Minister announced that the systematic land registration reform will continue until the end of 2025. He also revealed that from 2022, the Ministry of Justice is implementing the reform, which is being implemented in 59 municipalities across the country.
It is worth noting that within the framework of the reform, the state registers free of charge both owned and used plots of land and arbitrarily occupied plots of land. The current reform’s results were summarized at an event held at the Justice Training Center’s Saakadze training base.
A significant number of people, including officials and political leaders, attended the event. On this occasion the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze, addressed the participants. The chairman of the National Public Registry Agency, Davit Devidze, made the presentation.
Since the beginning of the project more than 1,500,000 plots of land have been measure and ownership rights have been registered for more than 1,000,000 plots of land. Up to 1000 people were trained and employed.
At the same time takeing into account the successful results and with the aim of not leaving any unregistered plots in the state, the system registration reform will continue until the end of 2025. After its completion, a single complete database will be created, and private, state, or municipal property will finally be identified.
At the end of the event the Minister of Justice showed the guests the necessary equipment and inventory for implementing the reform and the newly opened training center, the Saakadze training base.
Members of the executive and legislative authorities, deputy ministers of justice, state trustees, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the National Public Registry Agency, and agencies and self-governments participating in the reform attended the presentation of the results of the systematic land registration reform.
