PM Kobakhidze meets management of TAV airports

Tbilisi: Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia met with management of TAV airports. TAV airports is a member of ADP group and manging affairs of Tbilisi and Batumi airports of Georgia.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze took to his official Facebook page to share glimpses of this meeting. PM after meeting called this a productive session of discussion between both sides also.

The official Facebook page of PM Irakli Kobakhidze stated, “I met with the management of TAV Airports, a member of ADP group, which manages Tbilisi and Batumi international airports. The heads of a large French holding congratulated our party Georgian Dream on the victory of the ruling team in the elections and the appointment of the Prime Minister and wished us success.”

It is worth to note that, during the meeting the conversation touched upon the prospects of future cooperation between Georgian government and TAV Georgia Management. The company expressed its desire to stay on the Georgian market and continue operating, including in the new Tbilisi International Airport on which Prime Minster assure them for every kind of assistance.

It is to be noted also that the representatives of the company talked about future and close cooperation with the government so that the infrastructure of Tbilisi International Airport can meet the increased passenger traffic and the needs of new airlines.

At the same time it was noted that by the end of the year the passenger fare at Tbilisi International Airport will increase by 1 million and will reach almost 5 million.

Notably, during the meeting the correct policy of the Georgian government was emphasized, which promotes the entry of more new airlines to Georgia and the growth of passengers at Tbilisi and Batumi international airports, respectively the development of economy and tourism.

Similarly, the efforts of the state in terms of vis-liberalization with the People’s Republic of China, ensuring the growth of passengers from China and the interest of new airlines in the Georgia were also discussed in details.
