Daily COVID-19 Updates: Georgia reports 58 new cases, zero deaths

Georgia: The Health Administration of Georgia said that the country has reported 58 new cases of COVID-19, with 213 recoveries and zero fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 1.18 per cent.

Georgia: The Health Administration of Georgia said that the country has reported 58 new cases of COVID-19, with 213 recoveries and zero fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 1.18 per cent.

There are currently 1,483 active cases of Coronavirus all over the country.

Moreover, as per the figures given by the Georgian health department, a total of 4,243 tests were conducted throughout the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 3,179 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 1,064 were PCR tests.

Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,654,313 cases of Coronavirus. Out of which, 1,636,004 patients have recovered, while 16,800 people have succumbed to it.

The new 58 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country. 

  • Tbilisi – 35 cases 
  • Adjara – 1 cases 
  • Imereti – 9 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli – 2 cases 
  • Shida Kartli – 0 cases 
  • Guria – 3 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 0 cases 
  • Kakheti – 4 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 2 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti – 2 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 0 cases

As of today, around 34% of the population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated, accounting for 12.6 L individuals. The country has administered approximately 29.6 L doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines.
