Georgia: Representatives of the medical field and the non-governmental sector met with Salome Zurabishvili’s advisor and the head of the presidential administration and briefed them on Saakashvili’s health condition.

The meeting was held at the Orbeliani Palace.

“We have provided detailed information about the patient’s severity and difficult course. Of course, Ms Salome herself was not present, but the head of the administration and her health adviser was present. “The fact that the current president of Georgia will take into account the information of doctors,” said doctor Willie Pachkoria after the meeting.

On April 27, a council of doctors set up by the ombudsman prepared another report on Mikheil Saakashvili’s health.

According to the report, Mikheil Saakashvili has a protein deficiency due to which he was feeling weak.

Mikheil Saakashvili’s family members announced large-scale rallies, and his trial was postponed due to his health condition.

A few days ago, doctors from various departments gathered in front of the US Embassy to Georgia in support of the former President. The demonstrators call on the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, to take part in the process to allow Mikheil Saakashvili to receive medical treatment abroad.

According to them, it may be caused by resistant post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, which eventually leads to anorexia or loss of appetite.
