Giorgi Amilakhvari: US-funded educational programs are vital for our young people to receive a high-quality education

Georgia: Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science, and Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, met with Christopher Anderson, US Attaché for Culture.

At the meeting, they talked about all the important projects that the United States is implementing in the field of education and science in Georgia.

“We are grateful for the support that the United States is providing to Georgia in terms of human capital development. Provide information on ongoing projects in the Committee and express our readiness that any American educational program will have full political support. We believe that the educational programs implemented by our strategic partnerships are vital for our young people to master high-quality education,” said Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Committee.



According to Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chair of the Committee, the Committee actively cooperates with the US Embassy, ​​the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Millennium Foundation. According to him, the meeting focused on further deepening cooperation.

“US assistance in the field of education in Georgia is 30 years old. Over the years, the United States has allocated $ 6 billion to help Georgia. “We appreciate the contribution of the American people to Georgian education and will continue to have effective, frequent and close relationships and cooperation with the US Embassy,” Tamar Taliashvili said.
