Tbilisi:Â The Giorgi Tukhashvili’s startup award distribution ceremony will be held on May 28 2024. Registration for interested candidates has begun. The Startup Award has been named after Giorgi Tukhashvili co-founder of the successful startup Kernel, director of Startup Grind, and head of the Crystal Young Entrepreneurs School program.
Giorgi Tukhashvili was instrumental in nurturing Georgia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and is an example of youth empowerment. Registration was started on Wednesday for different categories. The nomination has been created according to his values and vision. Giorgis Tukhashvili’s startup award will promote his values ​​and thus continue his legacy for young entrepreneurs.
It is to be added that the award will be given annually on May 30, George’s birthday (with this year’s exception). This year on May 28 the award will be given for 8 nominations and will be open to self-nominations as well as others.
The following categories have been selected for the nomination:
- Boldest Startup: This award was created to empower technology startups. It will recognize a startup that has made significant and systematic progress towards its big goals over the course of the year. Â
- Impact Startup: This award recognizes a highly scalable startup that has a huge positive impact on society or the environment.
- Servant Leader: In contrast, this award aims to discover a hidden leader ​​who is engaged in supporting others without self-interest or self-promotion. Â
- Startup Gemini: This award will be given to an individual who is recognized as an educator in the startup space. Â
- Mindful Founder: This is again an individual award designed to encourage role modelling in mental health and healthy lifestyles. Â
- Teen Founder: This is for startup founders under 18 years of age to encourage technology startups among young people. Â
- Super Connector: This award recognizes an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to helping people achieve their big startup goals.
- Super Angel: This award for startup investors aims to recognise someone who does more than fund a startup or help another to start a business.
 A jury will select the winners of the nomination. The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2024.
