Dighomi, Georgia: The multifunctional sports complex in Dighomi village has been rehabilitated. Georgian Minister of Culture and Sports Ioseb Bagaturia opened the sports complex with Geronti Tsindeliani, Director of Sports Services Ltd.
The Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports took over the territory of the former sports complex, which is in a difficult condition, in May 2023. In March this year, on the initiative of former minister of culture and sport Thea Tsulukiani, “Sportsmchenservice” Ltd. 3440 sq.m.
The repair-rehabilitation works of the M area sports complex have begun. A one-story multifunctional gym, a mini-football stadium, and a two-story sports complex, which houses two gyms, were fully rehabilitated. The halls are multifunctional, and there, people can exercise in different sports and engage in a wide range of exciting activities.
The two-storey sports complex building had locker rooms, administrative rooms, doctor’s rooms, lighting and heating systems renewed, and new floors laid.
At the opening of the sports complex, the youth team of Georgian volleyball players, taekwondo players, freestyle wrestlers and football players held demonstration exercises. The event was Wafariani, President of the National Handball Federation of Georgia and Teimura Mghebrishvili, President of Taekwondo Nathe National Federation.
The cost of repairing and rehabilitating the multifunctional sports complex in the village of Dighomi was 1 120 910 GEL.
