The representatives of the Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti and Guria Local Action visited Keda municipality. They visited there on February 5-6 of this with support from European Union.
It is worth to note that during the visit representatives of the newly established LAGs of Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti met with representatives of the Keda local action group.
The representatives from both sides during this meeting shared their experience in establishing a LAG, developing a local development strategy and its activities. At the same time the Chair of GALAG, Nino Tikishvili, provided them with information about GALAG.
The purpose of the working visit was to share experiences between LAGs, exchange views and discuss possible cooperation in future also. it is also to be noted that during the working visit, representatives of the Racha-Lechkhumi, Lower Svaneti and Guria Local Action Groups visited the following business projects implemented in Keda Municipality under the EU-funded ENPARD program.

The working meeting was held within the framework of the EU ENPARD 4 program, in cooperation with the Innovation and Reform Centre (IRC) and the CENN project “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Sustainable Green Growth”.
Both sides while discussing the issues in detail said that the need of hour is have the maximum number of people take serious initiative to preserve natural resources of Georgia.
The issues of sustainable development have become burning topic. This issue required immediate steps so that any further damage to natural sources can be prevented as well.
They also urged social and non-government as well as civil society organization to come forward and launch efforts in this direction as well. The public participation is very helpful for effective implementation of climate related polices of agencies.
