Republic of Kazakhstan officially visits Georgian Civil Aviation Agency

Tbilisi, Georgia: The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA) on April 11, 2025, Friday. The purpose of the visit was to share Georgia’s experience in the issues of providing and supervising aviation safety.

The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA) shared glimpses of the gathering on its official Facebook page along with some information. According to the information shared by the GCAA, it should be noted that the Civil Aviation Agency welcomed the delegation of the Aviation Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana at the Tbilisi International Airport.

During the working meetings, the guests were acquainted with the framework documents related to the regulation of aviation safety in civil aviation, the protection measures provided by the State Program for the Protection of Civil Aviation Safety from illegal actions, the activities of the Civil Aviation Agency on continuous supervision and quality control of requirements In the direction of Oli, as well as the certification process of relevant personnel and other related procedures.

The agency organized a working meeting with officials of “Georgian Airports Union” LLC during the visit of the Kazakh delegation. Visitors also explored the boarding area, freight terminals, and passenger terminal at Tbilisi International Airport.

The delegation got acquainted on the spot with the measures held in protected areas of controlled and restricted landing for continuous and proper functioning of civil aviation.

In Georgia, supervision of aviation safety is carried out in full compliance with international standards. This is confirmed by several international audits in the country. As per the findings of the most recent assessment carried out by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Georgia’s aviation safety supervision sustainability index in 2024 was 89.75%, ranking among the highest in the European region.
