In Rustavi, the mayor, Nino Latsabidze, presented the forum participants with the ongoing reforms and the new concept of building development. She also said, ” Further development of Rustavi is our main goal, and our team has a new strategy and plan in this direction.”
The event was attended by Irakli Shatakishvili, Rustavi’s Majority Deputy in the Georgian Parliament, Deputy Mayor, City Council faction “Georgian Dream,” and Rustavi’s business sector.
One of the main goals of the reform launched to strengthen housing communities is to engage the population more actively in planning projects to be implemented in the city.
One of the concepts, according to which the strengthening of residential communities in Rustavi is planned, is based on cooperation with private businesses.
Cooperation with businesses will allow the population of a particular building to develop comrades and improve the living conditions in the building with their income.
To strengthen housing societies and improve the living conditions of the population in buildings, the budget for the Rustavi building in 2024 was 114% higher than the budget for 2023. As a result, 350 locations have been improved, accident buildings strengthened, hallways repaired, and other work carried out.
Under the Local Initiative Promotion Program, 260 projects have been completed to cover residential buildings, and 105 projects have been completed.
During the forum, the presentation was presented by the plastic and aluminium waste recycling company “Sparklo”, with which Rustavi City Hall started implementing the project.
Rustavi will be one of the first cities in Georgia to use innovative methods to solve the ecological problem of plastic and aluminium waste.
At the end of the forum “Strengthening the Interpersonal Comrades”, three chairmen of the most active comrades were awarded, and four were given tokens of thanks.
