Georgia: Rustavi Municipality of Georgia and Shaoguan City of the People’s Republic of China recently signed a Memorandum of Friendship in Shaoguan City. The goal of the memorandum is to maintain the existing friendship and cooperation between the two cities by providing assistance and exchanging information and experience in different areas.
The Memorandum was signed by the Mayor of the Rustavi Municipality, Nino Latsabidze and Mayor of the Shaoguan City, Chen Jichin. The Memorandum of Friendship’s document was signed on 27 March, 2025.

Mayor Nino Latsabidze also posted on her Facebook account and stated that they met and had several meetings with representatives of Shaoguan Municipal Bureau and the ruling party of China during their visit. She further added that the two parties discussed several ways for future collaboration and shared their experiences in the field of eulogy, economy, and infrastructure.

The Rustavi and Shaoguan friendship continuer memorandum ceremony was attended by Paata Kalandadze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China.
The head of administration of Rustavi city council Mr. Mikheil Muzashvili, Head of Infrastructure Development and Transport Service Mr. Zurab Tabagua, other representatives of Rustavi City Hall, and members of the ruling party of China and Shaoguan Municipal Bureau were also present at the meeting.

One of the locals wished them good luck and called Nino Latsabidze the best mayor, while another citizen of the municipality wished them success.
