Gizo Vasadze, the Governor of Saburtalo district has presented the annual report of activities conducted by district administration. He provides detailed information during a recent presentation on performance of district administration.
Governor in his speech underlined that, “ In current year of 2024, 9 recreational spaces were organized and rehabilitated in Saburtalo district and squares that were in very poor condition have been rehabilitated at seventy locations as well.
He also stressed that “One of the priorities of the Saburtalo district administration is the arrangement and rehabilitation of recreational spaces and several projects were implemented in this regard during the year.”
According to him one of the important projects is the arrangement of a recreational space on an area of 3,000 sq. m. on Atoneli Street in the village of Digomi. Sports grounds were also organized in the other areas, which are fully compliant with modern standards.
Moreover, to promote and popularize a healthy lifestyle, a total of 13 play stadiums were organized and rehabilitated. Road infrastructure has been improved on an area of 74,263 sq. m. Among them there are 11 streets where the population had to travel on dirty roads until now.
Similarly, 207 projects have been implemented within the framework of the “Support to the Development of Homeowners’ Associations” program, including 91 elevators rehabilitated, roofs of residential buildings were repaired at 36 addresses and water and sewage network rehabilitation works were carried out at 25 addresses also.
This year the Gamgeoba has held 13 different types of cultural, sports and educational events, noted Gizo Vasadze in this address. According to him this year, 25 garages have been dismantled, because of which new recreational spaces have arranged.
A total of 31,260,069 GEL was spent from the Saburtalo district administration budget for projects implemented during 2024. In addition, the Governor also spoke about important projects planned for next year at the presentation.
The event was attended by Member of Parliament Vladimer Bozhadze, representatives of the Tbilisi City Hall and City Council as well as members of the Civic Council and the population.
