Georgia: The Construction of a transport junction at Mikheil Tamarashvili Avenue and Chabua Amirejibi highway intersection has been completed. The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, was personally involved in the project, and his presence at the completion ceremony, along with deputies Andria Basilaya and Irakli Bendeliani, underscores the importance of this development for our city.
“We are done with Amirejibi, the project for the new road and Tamarashvili Avenue junction. As a result, we will be given the opportunity to increase sustainability and solve the problem of vehicles being in opposition to public transport. Traffic lights will regulate traffic. From today, this particular section of the road will be opened. There are still greening works left, which will take four to five days,” Kakha Kaladze said.
The successful completion of the project was a testament to our collective efforts. The mayor of the capital, the Chairman of the City Council, Giorgi Tkemaladze; the Head of the Civil Service for Infrastructure Development, Giorgi Abutidze; Head of Civil Service for Environmental Protection, Paata Togonidze; Head Of Vaki District David Kvinikadze, Head Of Saburtalo District Gizo Vasadze and Head of “Warm Service Group” David Pachulia all played a crucial role in the inspection, demonstrating the power of teamwork in achieving our common goals.
Within the scope of the project, two ramp-up ramps have been built in the mentioned area, for which reinforced concrete walls were built. Also, an outdoor lighting network with LED lamps was installed. Sidewalks were arranged for pedestrians, and several layers of asphalt were laid. The walkway was drawn, and traffic lights were installed, which will help to regulate the traffic at the junction.
1.7 million GEL from the capital’s budget financed the project, which was carried out by the City Service of Infrastructure Development of the City Hall.
