Samtskhe-Javakheti State University hosts “hidden talent” event

Samtskhe-Javakheti State University organized an important event for students. The event was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, under the name "Hidden Talent.”

Akhaltsikhe, Georgia: Samtskhe-Javakheti State University organized an important event for students. The event was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, under the name “Hidden Talent.”

The event was held in the scientific library of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University. The head of the English Philology program, Professor Guliko Janova and associate professor Maka Murvanidze organized it and were the main managers of the idea. Students of all four courses of the English Philology program took part in the event.

According to the event organizers the main objective was to introduce students of various courses to new skills. In today’s session the hidden talent event also has a program namely fluency in the English language.

It is worth noting that the event turned out to be very successful. The students of various courses on this occasion display their hidden talent as well.

The students participated in the events such as drawing amazingly (using different techniques), singing, writing poems (in Georgian and English), playing (different musical instruments), working with felt and waxing, making other things as well as skill of  baking.

Sofia Poznansky, a representative of the “Fulbright” program sponsored by the American government also participated in the event and shared his experience with others who were present. The Rector of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, Professor Maka Beridze summarized the event.

The dean of the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mrs. Guliko Bekauri and professors also gave a special dedicated speech to all the audience members present.

It should be noted that the public school of Tskruti students, under the leadership of English language teacher Khatuna Khitarishvili, participated in this beautiful and creative event organized by the Public Relations Service.

At the end of the meeting, the participants were given certificates. The evening ended with positive emotions and tears of joy, which did not leave the audience indifferent. The attendees thanked the University administration and called this event very helpful in exploring their hidden talents.
