Tbilisi: Georgian National University’s law facility have is all set to offer a free practical civic course. The course is aimed to educate school children about the practical aspects of the civic education courses and significance in daily life.
As per information shared by SEU on social media handles, the course will begin from November 30, 2024. The organisers of course are expecting high enrolment in this course which will help them to understand variety of legal aspects as well.
It is worth to note that the course is aims to raise legal awareness among students. Moreover, it will also include both theoretical and practical components. The course will be packed with team exercises and role-playing games so that practical aspects can be understood in depth.
Moreover during the course students will learn about the following legal issues:
- Law and legal systems
- Constitution and democracy
- Legislative power
- Judicial power
- Fundamental human rights
- Civil law
- Criminal law
- Juvenile rights
The course will provide special assistance to students who are interested in the field of law and plan to enrol in a law program of University after completion of their course as well.
It is to be noted that all the students in grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 can register for the course. The course duration is 2 months, 1 day a week.
