Georgia: The Georgian Special Investigation Service (SIS) arrested one individual for pedophilia, sexual extortion, and perverted acts against minors in Georgia. After various investigations, it revealed eight facts of offenses involving dozens of girls aged 10 to 18 from different cities of the country.
It should be noted that the Special Service investigators arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the indecent acts against a 14-year-old girl.
The investigation found that the arrested 40-year-old man had created fake social network accounts before communicating with the victims and introducing himself as their peer, gaining their trust before forcing them to send intimate photos and videos.
It is noteworthy that, the accused was communicating mainly with underage girls of 13 and 14 years using fake social networks, including Facebook.
According to the Special Investigation Service (SIS), it is to be noted that the individual used the material obtained from the minors to force them to perform sexual acts on intimate parts of the body and produce and send further photos and videos.
The Special Investigation Service, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, conducted emergency investigations and ensured immediate obtaining of evidence. Among them, a personal search of the accused seen in pedophilia was held, as well as a search of the car and the apartment in his use. The accused’s cell phones and other electronic information storage facilities were seized as evidence.
As a result of studying the materials mentioned by the investigation, ten fake Facebook and Instagram pages were found in the accused’s phone, using them to communicate with a person, including minors. In addition, pornographic and private life photos and video materials were seen, which the defendant had illegally obtained for years.
The SISÂ had arrested the alleged perpetrator and seized his fake social network accounts, as well as the history of private communications with dozens of minors containing intimate content. The special investigation service continues investigating the case, which will investigate all the accused’s criminal episodes.
The service will conduct investigations in the best interests of minors and protect children’s rights at all stages of the case. It should be noted that the investigation was ongoing, with the crime punishable by imprisonment for 5 – 9 years.
