Tbilisi:Â The teams of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia have arrested an accused of sexual crime. The accused came in touch with the victim through social media and forced her to send objectionable photos.
The victim is a minor and she was brainwashed by the accused who threatened and demanded her to take and send a nude photo/video footage of her while talking on Facebook. He also threatened to meet her at the school .
After the threat of the accused the frightened minor sent a body photo and video footage containing intimate content. After that, the accused forced the minor to send additional photos and video footage. Moreover the accused threatened the minor to perform a variety of sexual acts using a toothbrush and send him the footage.
When the mother of the minor girl came to know about this incident she approached special investigation services. After the initial investigation the accused was arrested by the staff of the Special Investigation Service. The agency also recovered a number of objectionable materials, including photos from the mobile of the accused person.
Meanwhile, the Georgian prosecutor’s office has charged him with violating privacy, forcing sexual acts and perverted acts and he was sent to prison as preventative measure.If the accused is found guilty, the accused can be imprisoned for up to 15 years.
Similarly a special investigation service also solved another case,which also relates to a breach of privacy.As per the Investigation of that particular case investigators found that the defendant was born in 1987 and living in Akhaltsikhe municipality.
He took the cell phone from her ex-wife and uploaded photos of intimate content of the victim’s private life into his own mobile phone. After that because of a disagreement with his ex-wife, he sent photos of intimate content to the victim’s relatives via “WhatsApp”.
The accused has been was arrested in this case as well and charged with handling the secret of private life on the basis of a gender-related disturbance. The accused can be sentenced to jail for a term of up to seven years.
It is worth mentioning that the Special Investigation Service continues its fight to uncover the facts of privacy and reveal the guilty of an offence. At the same time to raise awareness and protect the private lives of the community especially minors the Special Investigations Service conducts active informational meetings in schools, colleges and other educational institutions.
The Special Investigation service also provides a hotline number that victims can use to call for timely assistance.On that number any victim can leave a message to the Special Investigation Service. People can also visit the office of the investigation agency and lodge a complaint against the guilty.
