Tbilisi: The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Georgia has arrested two persons. These two people have been arrested on the fact of breach of the privacy of the private life of the citizens of the country.
In the very first case a sixty-three-year-old man was arrested by the Special Investigation Service on the fact of violation of private secrets. He will be prosecuted as per the legal provisions of the Georgian law.
The investigation in this regard established that the victim born in 1981 was in a love/intimate relationship with the accused who was born in 1960. It is also to be added that the accused recorded sexual contact over a mobile phone.
At the same time the accused was sending photos of his intimate content to the victim as well. After the victim refused to continue the relationship with the accused the accused sent the above-mentioned intimate content to the victim’s family member using the app “WhatsApp” in February 2024 with the motive of revenge and defaming the victim.
After the initial investigation the suspect’s home was raided by the Special Investigation Service after the victim’s treatment and a personal brawl took place during which the victim’s intimate material was removed from the phone of the accused and the accused was detained.
At the same time the Special Investigation Service opened another episode of personal life violations which resulted in the arrest of a person born in 1985.
In 2021-2022 the accused had an intimate relationship with the victim during which they had communicated in various ways including through internet applications. During the video call the accused secretly took pictures of the naked victim with a mobile phone ( Screenshots). The accused also illegally kept a video recording of their sexual relationship on a mobile phone.
Both accused in the crime were charged with breaching privacy and were remanded in prison as a measure of restraint.
