Ioseb Bagaturia First Deputy Minister of Sports and Director of Georgian Football Development Foundation attended the Children’s Mass Football Festival – “Football for Everyone” Award Ceremony. Football for Everyone events are held every year in Georgia to promote the sports culture.

It is to be specifically mentioned that With the support of the Georgian Football Development Fund on December 27 and 28, a mass children’s football festival was held in the Olympic Palace (New Sports Palace). This witnessed a large number of participants.

It is to be added that the festival “Football for Everyone” is held every year and and this year up to 100 children take part who belong to careless, socially vulnerable and displaced children categories. At the same time girls and boys aged between 11 to 14 from different regions like Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Terjola, Ghvankiti, Aketi, and Dmanisi who were selected as a result of local tournaments participated in this event.

At the same time the competition revealed the winning team of one girl and one boy. The winners were given prizes and memorable gifts.

First place – “Gaguri” of Lanchkhuti

Second place – “Fresh Junkers” of Ghvankiti

Second place – team “Imereti

The best football boy – Beka Iremadze

The best goalkeeper boy – Toma Tokhadze

The best football girl – Tamar Maruashvili

The best goalkeeper girl – Nini Balanchivadze

It is worth noting that the event of this scale was held for the first time this year. Encouraging videos of successful football players and other celebrities were shown at the event. Similarly, the musical numbers were also performed by various groups who mesmerised the attendees of the event.

Notably up to 300 children are participating in the project across the country. It’s been the seventh year that football teams have been formed in regional orphanages and day centres with funding from the Football Federation of the country.

The event is supported by the Georgian Football Development Fund the Georgian Football Federation, and “Youth Movement for a Healthy and Bright Future”.

The sports hall was beautifully decorated, and at the same time, the players were also looking very attractive in their beautiful dresses.

The winner of the event also posed for a selfie with their medals and certificate of participation.
